Dehnel Particle Accelerator Components and Engineering (D-Pace) was founded by Dr Morgan Dehnel in 1995 as a supplier of specialised components and technical support for beamline systems, beam diagnostic devices, and ion sources for research, industrial, and commercial accelerator systems around the world.
Buckley Systems Limited, a major supplier of components to D-Pace, purchased a 50% stake in the company in 2014. The partnership has allowed D-Pace to pursue exciting opportunities including the development and commercialisation of several new products and the construction of the Ion Source Test Facility (ISTF) based in Auckland, New Zealand. The facility has proved a huge benefit to both companies, allowing research into new ion sources and real-world testing of new beam diagnostic products and the development and commercialisation of over a dozen new products.
D-Pace is based in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada and employs over a dozen staff in the engineering design, software development, installation, training and servicing of their products. Morgan Dehnel undertakes the role of Chief Scientific and Innovation Officer for both D-Pace and Buckley Systems Limited.
