PAYROLL OFFICER

We are a successful and innovative engineering business exporting state-of-the-art
electromagnets and particle beam equipment to international markets. We are looking for
an experienced Payroll Officer to join our busy finance team. It is a permanent position with
20 hours/3 days' work week. The role will involve all aspects of weekly payroll processing
and payroll administration, including:

  • Process weekly payroll and leave requests in TimeFiler according to BSL's standard
    procedure.
  • Generates weekly database reports for managers and payroll reports on request.
  • Ensures BSL payroll is processed in accordance with all statutory requirements and is
    compliant with relevant legislation, BSL policies and the current Collective Agreement.
  • Ensures the BSL Payroll system and related databases is updated with all relevant
    employee information.
  • Provides reports and information to the business or other related parties (eg, Medical
    Insurance, Union, ACC, etc.) with regard to employee deductions, payments or other
    required information.
  • Complete fortnightly IRD electronic filing and ensure all deductions are paid on time.
  • Filing and general payroll administration.

Minimum of 2 years payroll processing experience required with knowledge of IMS Payroll
Partner, TimeFiler and MYOB EXO (Comacc). You will have good financial processing
knowledge, numerical skills and be familiar with Microsoft Excel & Word. You will enjoy
working in dynamic change environment and you must be customer focussed to handle staff enquiries professionally.
